Nominate a Leader to be a Petra Fellow
Each year since 1988, through a national search and nomination process and with the help of local leaders, Petra has identified and honored unsung heroes who are making distinctive contributions to the rights and dignity of millions who are marginalized in America.
In addition to a no-strings financial award, Petra provides local leaders with a national platform to amplify their innovative models. The foundation hosts the Petra Fellows' on-going participation in a growing leadership network, fostering collaborations among them and introducing them to allies skilled in advocacy, policy change and legal redress.
You can meet each of the Petra Fellows, working in 35 states, Indian Nations and territories, and read their stories on the Petra website by clicking on their portraits.
If you know a leader who fits the awards criteria, tell your candidate's story by answering the nomination questionnaire. If you know others who might make a nomination, please spread the word by forwarding this message.
Please read the guidelines carefully and submit your completed nomination by March 1, 2013.
Note that nominations should be submitted without the knowledge of the nominee and that Petra is currently considering only leaders living and working in the United States.
If you have any questions about submitting a nomination, don't hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
